ArtLab CAMP

ArtLab
"Growing up in an area where the idea of the arts is something that is completly unaffordable, ArtLab has given me the opportunity to experience a feeling that is unlike any other. ArtLab has opened doors for me that I thought never existed. It has given me the essentials to compete in this world and also interact with society due to the people skills I have acquired."
PlatteForum ArtLab Intern

An intensive year-round internship and apprentice program for underserved high school youth. A paid stipend helps instill responsibility, reward achievement, inspire new confidence and encourage goals for participants. This innovative long-term program utilizes the arts, mentorship and learning to encourage the development of academic, personal and workforce skills. ArtLab youth learn from Creative Residents and participate in workshops directed by visiting artists. They work with Learning Lab groups as helpers and mentors in an atmosphere that fosters creativity, diversity, competence, asset development, trust and teamwork. Various community groups recommend youth after personal interviews.
