program during the 2009 mural competition at the Peopleís Fair. The painting received first place Ė a result of remarkable team work. The students spent six hours in three teams creating the piece. The competition was preceded by brain storming sessions and field trips to the Denver Art Museumís Psychedelic show. The students spent time with the projectís Lead Artist Judy Anderson and conceptualized Oh Bombs of Change
after learning design elements and participating in passionate discussions about their generation. Oh Bombs of Change
addresses the media, the environment and the change that the millennial generation brings for the future. Bombís of life drop into a city composed of positive and negative headlines exploding into flower bombs; mushroom clouds that root and grow trees; and fire engines that fuel growth. The painting questions the mediaís roll in our perceptions of our world. It emphasizes the importance of the environment as our foundation and future. The mural won the First Place Award at the 2009 Denver People's Fair.Oh Bombs of Change
