This body of work is a symbolic narrative, woven
with filigree patterning and cowboy/cowgirl culture.
When I work in the studio as well
as in the classroom, I move between emergent communication
and visual fluency. What I mean by this, is that I
get images, ideas, and technique, and allow them to
emerge as they combine within the space of the page.
Fluency happens when the idea, image and craft are
working synergistically…walking side by side
in complete balance.
