Tutoringcontact Meagan TerryProvide tutoring for ArtLab interns (high-school age students) in math, biology, chemistry, world history, U.S. history, and other subject areas.
Time commitment: To be determined by tutor and student
Learning Labscontact Meagan TerryLearning Labs are intensive workshops for youth led by creative residents. Volunteers work side by side with youth, support staff set up and clean up, help gather materials, and help youth create work.
Time commitment: 3-6 hours per week. Volunteers are welcome and encouraged to sign up for a few hours per week for the entire Learning Lab running 6-7 weeks at a time.
Mentors for C.A.M.P.contact Meagan TerryBe a college access/readiness mentor through the College Access Mentoring Program (C.A.M.P.). Mentors are matched with an ArtLab intern and help with essay writing, meeting application deadlines, and more.
Time commitment: Mentors are trained and asked to commit to two years of involvement with an ArtLab intern. Mentors spend about 6-8 hours per month with mentee and in C.A.M.P. activities.
Donations of Time or Supplies, Administrative Support, and Nonprofit Managementcontact Trish ThibodoWe are in need of and welcome assistance in any of the following areas:
- Fundraising and Donation assistance: Assist in identifying fundraising opportunities, acquiring in-kind donations, and food/catering donations
- Donations: Donations of art supplies and equipment for Learning Lab and ArtLab; gift cards to restaurants, stores (Home Depot, Target, King Soopers) to be used to purchase supplies, meals for youth, or use as donation incentives; tickets to plays, sporting events, and concerts to be used as donation incentives; snacks, food, beverages to be used at opening receptions and to provide meals for our youth
- Administrative: Data entry, office/facility organization
- Nonprofit management: Assist in developing/evaluating policies and procedures; research; write grants; identify grant opportunities; develop program evaluation strategies; assist in marketing, media and public relations, and volunteer coordination.
