Cry
Me a River, No Mo
April Charmaine—dancer,
choreographer, and writer—will create a choreographic
expression incorporating spoker word and installation
with Girls, Inc. youth. Fifteen workshops during June,
July and August will culminate in two performances of
the work on August 15 at PlatteForum. April will guide
the youth as they investigate movement, spoken word
and visiual form, as she creates the piece. Visual artists
will help guide the youth in transforming the Spotlight
Gallery into a river installation. Each child will contribute
to the work. |
